Tobias Jelinek

Tobias Jelinek’s journey into the entertainment world began serendipitously at age 15 when a Disney scout discovered him during a community theater production in Santa Barbara, California. This fortuitous encounter led to his debut role as Jay in Disney's cult classic Hocus Pocus (1993).

With a career spanning over three decades, Jelinek has become known for portraying vivid and dynamic characters across drama and comedy, making his mark on both television and film. He has showcased his versatility by appearing in both the Marvel and DC universes: as the shape-shifting Luke in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the villainous Boots in DC’s Arrow.

Jelinek’s ability to bring memorable characters to life was recognized in his work as part of the SAG Award-winning ensemble of Stranger Things. Additional standout performances include the train-hopping gang leader Morpheus opposite Zach Galifianakis in FX’s Baskets and the lethal Ehren
in Netflix’s Obliterated, from the creators of Cobra Kai. His chameleon-like ability to embody diverse roles has been evident in guest spots on shows like This Is Us, Shameless, The Affair, NCIS, MacGyver, and Showtime’s I’m Dying Up Here.

In the realm of comedy, Tobias has appeared on The Mindy Project, Comedy Central, and as a regular in the YouTube hit Rhett & Link’s Buddy System alongside Molly Shannon and Tony Hale.

Recently, Tobias played billionaire CEO Daniel Lemle in AMC’s Mayfair Witches opposite Alexandra Daddario and in NBC’s The Hunting Party.
