Jen and Sylvia Soska, known as the Twisted Twins, burst onto the horror scene as identical sisters who enjoy . Their debut, Dead Hooker in a Trunk (2009), was a self-financed grindhouse tribute shot for just $2,500 as a film school project. The sisters wrote, directed, produced, and starred as geeky twins entangled in a bloody mystery, earning an 80% Rotten Tomatoes score and cult status for its raw energy. This film showcased their unapologetic gore and feminist edge, drawing from influences like Robert Rodriguez and Eli Roth, who later championed their work.

The Soskas delivered American Mary (2012), a chilling body horror tale of a med student (Katharine Isabelle) descending into underground surgeries for revenge and profit. Hailed for its authentic take on body modification. They followed American Mary with the anthology segment "T is for Torture Porn" in The ABCs of Death 2 (2014), a twisted hentai-infused audition gone wrong, and revived franchises like See No Evil 2 (2014) for WWE Studios, injecting slasher flair into Jacob Goodnight's rampage.

Their remake of David Cronenberg's Rabid (2019) explored stem-cell horrors turning beauty into apocalypse, while Festival of the Living Dead (2024), a Night of the Living Dead sequel, unleashed zombie chaos on Tubi.

Beyond horror, the Soskas expanded into action-thrillers like Vendetta (2016), a WWE prison revenge saga starring Dean Cain. On television, they hosted the survival horror game show Hellevator (2015) on GSN. Their credit extend into comics with Marvel tales like Night Nurse shorts and a Guardians of the Galaxy arc in Guardians of Infinity #8 (2013).
