Nancy Loomis is an actress renowned for her roles in horror films, particularly as a frequent collaborator with director John Carpenter. She is best known for portraying Annie Brackett, the sarcastic teenage babysitter, in Carpenter’s 1978 horror classic Halloween.

She reprised this role in Halloween II (1981) with a cameo as the deceased Annie and appeared in Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) as Linda Challis, the ex-wife of the lead character. As an actress, Nancy has portrayed the most characters in the series (three) .

Her horror credits also include playing Julie in Carpenter’s Assault on Precinct 13 (1976) and Sandy Fadel in The Fog (1980), showcasing her ability to bring wit and charm to her roles.

Her earlier work extended to television, with appearances in The Twilight Zone (1985) and TV movies like Not in Front of the Children (1982) and Lady Boss (1992).

She is now a professional sculptor and professor at the University of California, Loomis has largely stepped away from acting but remains a beloved figure in horror cinema.
