Charisma Carpenter is best known for her roles in television and film, particularly in the horror and fantasy genres. She rose to fame as Cordelia Chase on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–1999) and its spin-off Angel (1999–2004).
Carpenter’s early career included guest spots on shows like Baywatch and Malibu Shores. Carpenter starred in the horror-thriller See Jane Run (2001), playing a woman unraveling a chilling mystery, and appeared in the TV movie Haunted (2002). She also starred in the British horror thriller Psychosis (2010).
She has a supporting role in The Expendables (2010) and its 2012 sequel The Expendables II. Carpenter also embraced horror-comedy in Voodoo Moon (2006), portraying a woman caught in a battle against dark forces, cementing her versatility in the genre.
Carpenter's other television credits include a recurring part in Charmed as a psychic and a starring role in The Lying Game (2011–2013) as a secretive mother. Her work extends to voice acting in Legend of the Seeker and appearances in shows like Veronica Mars and Supernatural.
