Bruce Davison's career has spanned over five decades and has significant horror credits to go along with his many recognizable roles. He first gained attention for his chilling role as Willard Stiles in the 1971 cult classic Willard, a psychological horror film about a lonely man with a sinister connection to rats.

He was in The Last Survivors (1975), a post-apocalyptic thriller, and Deadman’s Curve (1978). In the 1980s, he appeared in The Horror Show (1989) as a detective facing a supernatural killer. In 2012, he appeared in Rob Zombie's The Lords of Salem.

He is quickly recognizable from his work in the X-Men franchise with Davison portraying the menacing Senator Kelly in X-Men (2000) and X2 (2003).

Davison is widely recognized for his Oscar-nominated role in Longtime Companion (1989), a poignant drama about the AIDS crisis. He also starred in Short Cuts (1993), a critically acclaimed Robert Altman film, and appeared in TV shows like Seinfeld and Law & Order. Davison is also known for his roles George Henderson on the television sitcom Harry and the Hendersons (1991–93), Captain Wyler on the crime drama series Hunter (1985–89)
